The Crucible is being presented as part of "Read Across McKinney" in cooperation with the McKinney Public Library, McKinney Independent School District, and the McKinney Performing Arts Center.

Upcoming Events
McKinney Repertory Theatre concludes the 2009-2010 season with "Play It Again, Sam", a comedy by Woody Allen, on July 9, 10, 16, 17 at 8:00 p.m., and July 18 at 2:00 p.m. in the Courtroom Theatre at the McKinney Performing Arts Center. Starring Pete Wageman as Allan Felix, whose wife recently left him. His friends try to fix him up with dates, but they always end abysmally, even though the spirit of Humphrey Bogart advises him on how to handle women. Also featuring Richard Petretti-Allen, Davette Shands, Mike Cooper, Jean Roberts, Kasey Bush, Raquel Leal, and Sue Goodner.

We will be holding auditions for the Neil Simon's "The Sunshine Boys" on Friday, August 13th from 6:30-9:30pm and Saturday, August 14th from 1:00-4:00 pm at the McKinney Performing Arts Center, 111 N. Tennessee St. Directed by Pamela Harden. Auditions will be cold readings from the script.
Roles:
Males: Willie and Al, the Sunshine Boys, 70's, old vaudelvillian actors
Male: Ben, 30's, Talent agent, Wilie's nephew
Female: Nurse 1, voluptous, age open, classic vaudevillian style comedienne
Male or Female: Assistant director, 20's and up
Male: Network television director, possible understudy for Willie/Al
Male: Patient in comedy sketch, possible understudy for Willie/Al
Male: Television show announcer, possible understudy for Willie/Al
Female: Nurse 2, early 50's. Down to earth, sharp wit and dry sense of humor
Performance dates are October 1, 2, 8, 9, 10. Rehearsals will be on Mondays and Tuesdays from 6:30-9:30 and Saturdays from 1:00-5:00pm.

MRT continued its 2009-2010 season with Neil Simon's "Plaza Suite." Peformances were March 5, 6, 12, 13, at 8:00 p.m., and March 14 at 2:00 p.m. at the McKinney Performing Arts Center. Directed by Pamela Harden.

A Christmas Carol

This 55 minute one-act adaptation by McKinney by McKinney resident and UNT theatre professor Dr. Andrew Harris was performed five times on Thanksgiving weekend during McKinney's "Dickens of A Christmas." All performances are in the Courtroom Theatre of the McKinney Performing Arts Center. Show times for Thanksgiving weekend are: Friday, November 27th, 2:00 & 5:00 pm; Saturday, November 28th, 2:00 & 5:00 pm; Sunday, November 29th, 2:00 pm.

MRT opened it's 2009-2010 Season of Comedy with the classic story of two spinsters whose pasttime is poisoning lonely gentleman with their homemade elderberry wine and burying them in Panama with the aid of their nephew, who thinks he is Teddy Roosevelt. Performances on October 2, 3, 9, 10 at 8:00 pm, October 11 at 2:00 pm. Directed by Pamela Harden.
